Editorial independence

The Le Caraïbéen newsroom carries out its journalistic work with complete independence from political and economic powers and from any interest group. Editorial decisions rest solely with the newsroom.

Rigour and fact-checking

Every piece of information we publish is checked with multiple sources, identified whenever possible. Any errors found are corrected as quickly as possible, in a transparent manner.

Respect for people

The newsroom undertakes to treat the people it interviews or mentions in its publications with respect, and to clearly distinguish reported facts from analysis and opinion.

Sources and contributions

Le Caraïbéen may call on external contributors. Such contributions are identified as such and held to the same standards of rigour as content produced by the newsroom.
